Why?

Boys tend towards a more varied, masculine palette with bright punches of color. Think "Camouflage and Jeans". Studies show that the top three colors chosen by guys are Blue, Green, and Black. This color scheme takes advantage of the fact that boys are into outdoor activities and like to "play soldier" … so it would target the male tween (ages 8 to 12) scene very well.

Where?

This scheme would work well for businesses (and ads) that target the tween guy scene. These particular colors work very well together when your design, marketing materials, or products call for a "manly" essence, especially for masculine fashion or guy gadgets. This color palette would also cool down and enhance guy-oriented designs for apps and websites.

blog keyboard 200 thumb 1st step is admitting you have a problem … When I go out prospecting for new clients, I’m flabbergasted by how many small business owners don’t think it’s necessary to have a website.

Then there are those that know they need a website, but think they don’t have the content, effort, or time for maintaining a blog.

For all those entrepreneurs and small business owners out there reading this … you MUST have a website … preferably a blog.

The Survey is in … I’ve heard back from Clients, Contacts, and Industry Professionals!

My entrepreneur and small business clients find all the design-related information to be unnecessary clutter for the majority of them. They prefer the information and ideas of how they can market their business better. Very few of them care about the how and why of design, they would rather have someone else worry about that –> like ME icon smile Construction Zone: Aim It Media & Creativarty

My designer friends and industry professionals find all the marketing-related information to be unnecessary information for the majority of them. They are much more interested in knowing the how and why of design … and only want to know about marketing if it’s about the design of marketing materials.

So …

Over the next week (hopefully not longer), I will be redesigning Aim It Media to be simpler and more focused on Marketing (with some business).

I am designing a completely new blogsite Creativarty strictly for design-related articles, posts and resources.

I’ve also created a new Twitter profile at Twitter/Creativarty … although I’m not tweeting form it yet, follow me there for all design-related tweets since Twitter/AimItMedia will be used for business and marketing tweets.

Why?

The three tones of pink make this a very feminine palette while the vibrant orange gives the scheme a twist and makes it more modern. Think "Princess with a Pow". This particular color scheme works as a transition from spring to summer … from girl to woman … so it would target the female tween (ages 8 to 12) scene very well.

Where?

This scheme would work well for businesses (and ads) that target the tween girl scene. These particular colors work very well together when your design, marketing materials, or products call for a "girly" essence, especially for feminine fashion and accessories. This color palette would also warm up and enhance girl-oriented designs for apps and websites.
