Why?
Our favorite micro-blogging app throws up this trouble screen when necessary. The bright blue is their dominant brand color, which makes the vibrant orange and clean white really pop out from the blue backdrop. I know this used to be the screen that would appear when there was a processing problem on Twitter’s end, but it’s honestly been so long since I’ve seen that screen that I’m not sure if they still use this graphic. It works really well though as a problem screen because the three colors pop out so vividly. Overall this is a very attention grabbing, complementary color scheme.
Where?
This color scheme is simple, yet very modern and great at grabbing a viewer’s attention. This scheme would work well in ads, business cards, fliers, logos, postcards and websites (especially as call out graphics). I could also imagine these colors in use for child, tween, and teen oriented fashion and accessories. I’ve also seen very similar color schemes utilized in window displays at the mall (think Hermes) which always makes me stop and admire the window.
